Greeting from Austria!

Hallo Gillian, Claire, Sarah and Anwi!

Trip to the rugby!

Hi everyone!

This weekend Caroline and her friends took me along with them on a very exciting trip! We went to Edinburgh, to Murrayfield (the national rugby stadium of Scotland), where Scotland were playing Ireland in their third game of the Six Nations Tournament. Here are some photos of our day! It was a lot of fun, Ireland came out on top but Scotland tried their best!

This is me with Alan, Caroline & Eildh on the train going to Edinburgh.

Here is the stadium from the outside!

Got my ticket, all ready for kick-off.

Here's me with the pitch in the background, such a good view from our seats.
Then the teams sang their National Anthems.

It was a fantastic match, I really enjoyed it. Scotland played really well towards the end of the game and nearly drew level. The game finished 18-21 to Ireland but we all still enjoyed the day!

We all relaxed with a cup of hot chocolate on the train home again.

This week the students are on placement in nursery, so stay tuned for some pictures.
Speak to you later!
Emil! xx

I'm here in Estonia!

Greetings from Estonia!

It's very cold here! Lukas(my owner for a week) was
kind, he went to the cinema with me to see ''Tangled,''

and he took me to the robotics class. Unfortunately, he didn't have a camera
in the cinema. I met Lukas' friends, they were fun too.
He didn't give me any tomatoes (I don't like tomatoes). I helped him do his
homework. Lukas went out a lot and then I played with
his other animals. I was sad to leave. And I had fun.

Terry goes to work!

Terry went to work this week. He works in the shop on the university campus. It is called the Premier Store. He worked from 4pm until 10pm and had to work on the till serving customers. Terry was very tired at the end of the day. and went home to bed.

Uploading a powerpoint to a blog

Hello Karin,

For the "Making Kernölkuchen with Petzi and Nessie" I first made a slide show using microsoft powerpoint

Then I have to upload my saved powerpoint to an online site. I used my plick

This puts the powerpoint onto an online space which allows the world to see it. What you want from this site is to copy the "embeded code" or "html"

Go to your blog, create a new post. When uploading to a blog you type as normal then click "edit HTML" and paste go back to compose and type as normal.

You should see the images on the screen.

I hope this helps

Gillian

Quebec Winter Carnaval

Here are some photos that our teddy bear took at Carnaval de Quebec, the biggest winter carnaval in the world! Our teddy is a little bit shy at the moment but he will soon be posting lots of photos of his adventures in Quebec. We hope you like his photos of Carnaval! :)

Hello from Quebec!

We hope you are well in Dundee. We are looking forward to learning about Scotland.
This is a simply 'test' email, but we have a lot of fun photos of Quebec to follow.
Watch this space!

Eilidh has arrived

I Hallo everybody, I have been in Reutlingen/Germany for a few days now, and here Birgit is showing me Reutlingen on the map. It's quite a way from Dundee, I must say. At the Teacher Training Seminar it is very quiet at the moment, the new course of trainee teachers is spread all over the country at their training secondary schools. At the Seminar, everybody is busy taking exams - nobody seems to have time for me. Mrs.Groll, the secretary, thought I should explore the campus on my own...

Terry's Trip

At the weekend Terrry travelled to Newcastle in England to visit family.

Before the long car journey Terry went to Tesco to buy snacks for the journey and stopped for a Latte at Costa.

Whilst in Newcastle Terry spent a lot of time with his cousin Annabel who is 2 months old.

He also ate ice cream with his other cousin Millie.

Terry took time at the weekend to relax and watch television and ate all his favourite foods like a Subway.

Terry spent the day in Durham while he was in England. He visited Durham Castle and Cathedral. The Cathedral was used for the first two Harry Potter films for scenes in Hogwarts.

Terry really enjoyed his time in England but couldn't stay for long as he had to get back to University. The drive home wasn't much fun as the weather was miserable. It was so foggy Terry couldn't see the top of the Forth Road Bridge.

After 3 and a half hours in the car Terry was glad to be home and see his dog.

Jeux dramatiques and Name day!

Hello my friends in Scotland!

It´s lunch- time! "Kaiserschmarrn and Apfelmus" is a typical Austrian sweet dish! I love it!
That afternoon we were doing a "JEUX DRAMATIQUES"!
Jeux dramatiques is a theater without language. The children don´t play for public, they play by themselves. Important are their own feelings!

Karin told us the story about the little bear and the little tiger "Ich mach dich gesund, sagte der Bär von Janosch". Every child chose between bear and tiger. I was a tiger!

The children built the bear- houses!
And here you can see all tigers:

I was a tiger with a red long tail!

The little tiger is ill! The story is about giving help, getting help and expecting help!

These tigers are almost healthy, they already ate!

The children (tigers) have expressed themselves!

NAME- DAY(a wonderful day)
Karin and Maria celebrate the Name- day with the children!

This is Julia and she invited me! This bracelet is the present! Every kindergarten- friend is allowed to choose a bead for her.

She wanted to bake a cake for her friends!

My Austrian- friends want to celebrate my name- day as well- do you know, when it is?

Next week I have got holidays! I will spend the whole week at Karin´s house!

Bye, bye my Scottish friends!

Nursery!!

On Friday, Nicole Keira and Caroline brought me into university with them. Their whole class were preparing for children coming in to explore the context areas they were setting up. I got a special preview of them all, everyone was so nice letting me have a short play in each one!

This is me visiting Jo at the bank.

Then I found some sick animals at the Veterinary Surgery.

This is me learning to cross the road in the People Who Help Us area. They really are teaching me lots over here in Scotland!

I visited the Jungle on the way to the Supermarket to pick up some groceries.

And made a birthday card here to bring with me to the next area.

Where we were celebrating Eleanor's birthday! I also made a new friend at the party, Duggie the Dog!
I got to plant a little seed, hopefully it will grow soon!

This is me leaving University on the train.

Then Nicole took me to a Chinese Resturant for lunch with her parents!
It was a really fun day at University, all the students were really nice to me and made me feel at home here. I am beginning to enjoy Scotland and am going to work with Nicole at the weekend too!

Keep checking the blog for more news of my adventures!
P.S. I still can't remember my name, a quick reminder would help me lots.
